First shelving unit
I spent Memorial Day sorting out the stash. Last year when I switched out fabric, I put the spring/summer fabric in big Ziploc bags. It worked but looked really sloppy with all of the bags sitting on the floor. Last month, I got tired of it and bought 8 bins. The winter weight fabrics went into the bins and I soon ran out of bins. I send DH to the store and he bought just enough to get the job done. Three shelving units and 14 bins later almost of the fabric has a home. I have a few pieces in a couple of closets. It took all day and I had a few "will this never end" moments when fabric was sitting all over the place.
First shelving units hold black fabrics and pants weight fabrics. Black blouse weight fabric is in the Ziploc bag. The bin holds light colored lining fabrics
Second shelving unit
Third shelf and bins
Third shelving unit - The top shelf adds color to my stash. Beige fabrics are on the second shelf. The third shelf holds lingerie fabric. On the bottom shelf are bags holding bulky fabrics.
The bins hold winter weight and some fancy fabrics. I bought a lot of fabrics when I had a job where I wore dress clothes instead of scrubs to work. I miss wearing clothes to work.
